4YO Smart Missile mare Savvy Belle ran them down on Thursday at Seymour for win number 2 with Dale Smith aboard.

Savvy belle has always struggled to relax in her runs but today she proved us wrong and settled into her run from the start. With Dale smith aboard who knows her well said, "I like to just let her run along and not fight her." She had an inside barrier, jumped well and settled midfield.

With both the favourites going forward she had a lot of work to do. Despite winding up well around the home turn, she got caught in traffic. Dale had to pull her out wide, losing some momentum but that wasn't going to stop her today. She sped home to steal her 2nd win.

Savvy Belle has been showing great improvemnet her last two starts and Thursday was the day it finally payed off.

Dale said after the race;  "She really lengthened out and finished off."

Mick has commented; " Getting her to settle has been the key to success. She has always been fiery but that is typical of her breed. The team has worked hard at home with her and it has certainly payed off. We're confident by the way she won on Thursday we will see more wins from her."
