A perfectly judged ride from Luke Currie turned a succession of minor placings into victory and it won’t be the last for the son of Rothesay. Tried at Stakes level on debut, Scottish Rogue had made a habit of running into a good one including a 2nd placing to next start Group 3 winner Run Naan but there was no stopping him on Sunday.

The $45,000 Inglis Classic Yearling purchase becomes winner #2 for FLR owners with ‘King Of The Kids’ Tony McEvoy.

“We made a conscious decision to target precocious early running types with Tony and Scottish Rogue is testament to that” said FLR’s Tim Wilson. “He’s tough, talented and physically imposing and to have already had five starts as a 2YO is testament to that”
